The Charleston Scarf is embraced within the batteries of Fort Sumter
as a deep and handsome border. Charleston, originally an English harbor,
is filled with public buildings and residences relating to over three
centuries of history. Historic American Building Survey line drawings
from the Library of Congress are reproduced to present a collage of Charleston's
architects and architecture. Public buildings prevail because the city
was built by fine architects.Architextiles Copyright ©2003-2004 R. Toledano |
